Mountainville Academy was founded on a vision of a school that is academically rigorous, where children are actively engaged in the learning process and focused on the mastery of basic skills through programs that are specific, challenging and effective. We see a school that fosters an environment of integrity, personal responsibility and respect for others, and provides a well-rounded education through a broad range of historical, scientific and cultural topics; a school with smaller class sizes and teachers in partnership with parents.
To this end, the mission of Mountainville Academy focuses on academics, with special attention to the Language Arts and Mathematics. We believe that success in these areas leads to success in all areas of study, which in turn builds confidence, a love of learning and a desire to pursue more knowledge. This knowledge must be balanced by positive character development that encourages the application of good conduct, values and personal achievement to create responsible and contributing members of society. |

Race participants can run, walk or wheel the marathon or half marathon course. Your voice is heard and money is raised and donated to the charity of choice for each mile.

The money raised is used to cover all travel expenses and hotel accommodations, which are based on double occupancy and all residual money is donated to the charity of choice. Every effort is used to find discount expenses and volunteer work to assure that as much as possible will go to charity.

Our volunteer teams are currently providing medical, surgical, dental and vision care in Peru, Guatemala, Haiti, Nepal and Kenya. We are continuing to build new healthcare clinics and train new healthcare workers to expand healthcare in desperately underserved areas. We are providing year round support to local doctors, nurses, clinics and hospitals by shipping needed equipment and supplies, as well as through training conferences. Your support also helps complete clean water projects, greatly reducing disease and workloads in program areas. Our programs are supporting local schools with supplies and training for teachers. Other programs are providing start up loans, equipment and expertise for small, local businesses. Without generous supporters like you, none of these programs could occur and thousands of people would not be able to break the devastating cycle of poverty.

Our Mission Statement
Today, there are millions of children in underdeveloped countries who have no parents, food, clothing, or access to medical or emotional care. While the majority of these children are dying from malnutrition, their living conditions are so poor that even diaper rash can be deadly. This situation is not isolated; in fact, it is growing at an ever-increasing pace.
In contrast, there are thousands of families in developed countries trying to adopt. However, they are faced with a complicated and cost prohibitive adoption process. This gap continues to widen as more children die and families struggle to find the resources to adopt.
A Child's Hope Foundation is bridging this gap by creating adoption orphanages and providing a healthy environment for infants and young children, awakening their spirits while seeking a loving family for them. With your help we can save lives, build families, and be a child's hope for love and belonging in this world!
